WHEREAS, Penal Code Section 1205 has been amended to a11ow for an
admi~istrative/cierical charge for processing of installment accounts
invo1ving court order~d fines; and
tdHEREAS, Penal Code Section 1203_1 has been added to a11ow for a fee
to cover actual adm9nistrative costs of collecting court ordered restitut~on;
and
4dHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County pf B~~L•te has
determined that such charges are necessary and just~fiable.
NOW, THEREFOP.E, BE IT RESOLVED •that pursuant to Penal Code Section
1205(c) and the actual cos~i, of ~rocessing installment accou~its, the Board of
Supervisors orders adding a~10 processing fee ~to all fnstallment accouni:s
9nvolving court ordered fines of 3100 or 1ess; a11 installment accourts
involving a fine of $10I or more shaT1 have added a processing fee of $30; and
BE IT FURTHER R~SOLU~U that pursuan* to Section i203.1 of the Penal
Code the Board of Supervisors orders that a fee be added to c~ver the actual
cos~ of,coTlecting restftution, and #,hat said fee shal~ be two per•cen~ of the
to~al amoun~ wh~~ch th~ Court orders to be paid.
