l AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
ZONING A PORTION OF SAID COUNTY PURSUANT TO E%ISTING
2 ORDINANCE NOS. ~~~, ~~~ AND 676 OF SAID COUNTY.
3 The Board of .Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of
California, DO ORDAIN A5 FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1. The hereinafter described area situate in the County
S of Sutte, State of California, shall be and is hereby zoned. as a
"C-2" (General Commercial) District as hereinafter described and
6 subject to all of the restricted uses applicable to the uses of a
"C-2" District, said area so zoned. being located in the unincor-
7 porated area of Butte County, northeast of the City of Chico,
particularly described as follows:
$ 1.1 AF 44-18-28 {6.81 acres} as shown on maps on file and
9 of record in the office of the Butte County Assessor,
10 State of California on the first Monday of March 1964.
11 SECTION 2. The following restrictions shall apgly in a "C-2"
(General Commercial) District:

2.1 Uses permitted:

a. Multiple dwellings and dwelling groups, subject to the
14 height limit building site area, average lot width and yard
requirements specified for "R-3" Districts.

b. All uses permitted in "C-1" districts, subject to
16 first securing a use permit in each case where such is re-
quired in the "C-1" district.

2.2 The following uses subject to securing a use permit in
lg each-case:
1~' a. Bottling works, carpenter shops, contractors yards,
lumber yards, plumbing shops, welding shops and other uses of a
20 similar character.
21 h. Manufacturing of clothing, handicraft products, print-
ing, lithographing and other light manufacturing or industrial
22 uses of a similar character.
23 2.3 Accessory uses and buildings.
24 2.4 Building Height Limit Required: Forty-five (45) feet.
2g 2.5 Minimum Lot Width Required: Twenty (20) feet.
2S 2.6 Front Yard Required: None, except where frontage in a
block is partially `in an ."R'.' district, in which case the front
27 yard shall be qns-half that required in such "R" district.
28 2.7 Side Xard Required: Nerve, except where the side of a lot
abuts upon :the side of a lot in, an °~'R" district, in which case
29 the abutting side yard shall not be 'less-.than five (5) feet;
and except where the 5~`de yard on the street side of a corner
30 lot abuts on an "R" districg, in which case the side yard on
the street side shall~'be one-half the front. yard required in
31 such "R" district.
32 2.8. Rear Yard Required: Twelve (12) feet; of five f5) feet
adjacent to an alley.

SECTION 3. Ail uses of land within the District not specific-
ally authorized and permitted under Section. 2, are prohibited.
SECTION 9. Penalties for any vio$ation of the zoning hereby
imposed within the District shall be as provided in the Zoning
Enabling Ordinance. In compliance with the provisiong of the
Zoning Enabl9ne Ordinance, this Ordinance shall from and after
its effective date become a supplement to and .part of the Zoning
Enabling. Ordinance.
SECTION 5. This Ordinance shall be and it is hereby declared
to be in full force and effect_.from and after thirty (-30} days
after the date of its passage, and. before the expiration of
fifteen (15} days after its passage, this Ordinance shall be
published once with the names of-the members voting for and
aga~ast it in the Chico Enterprise , a newspaper
published in the County o Butte, State of California.
PASSED and ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of
Butte, State of California, thie 8th day of December, 1964
by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Alldredge, Giles, Pryde, Steinegger and Chairman McKillop
