AN ORDINANCE ZONING A PORTION OF THE COUNTY OF'
BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, PURSUANT TO ORDINANCE
NOS. 475, 522 AND 676 OF SAID COUNTY
The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State
of California, under and pursuant to Ordinance No. 475 of said
County, and as amended by Ordinance Noo 522 and 676, DO ORDAIN
AS FO~.,LOSi , :
SECTION 1. The hereinafter described area situate in
the County of Butte,. State of California, shall be and is hereby
zoned as a "C~2" (General Commercial)District as hereinafter
described and subject to all of the restricted uses applicable to
the uses of a "C~20' District, said area so zoned being located in
the unincorporated area of Butte County, northeast of the city of
Chico, particularly described as follows:
1.1 Southeast 150 feet by 150 feet of Lot
No. 15 of the Bidwell Rancho, Chico,
as designated by map. in the Office of
the County Recorder of Butte County,
Book 6, Page 79.
SECTION 2. The following restrictions shall apply in a
"C-2" (General Commercial) District:
2.l Uses permitted:
as Multiple dwellings, and dwelling groups, subject
to the height limit building site area, average lot width
and yard requirements specified for "R-307. districts.
b, All uses permitted in 07C,~137 districts, subject ~-.
to first securing a use permit in each case where such is
required in the "C-1" district,
2.2 The following uses subject to securing a use permit
in each case:
a. Bottling works, carpenter shops, contractors
yards, lumber ~~ards, plumbing shops, welding shops and
other uses of a similar character.

1 b. Manufacture of clothing, handicraft, products,
2 printing, lithographing and other light manufacturing or
3 industrial uses of a similar character.
i4 2.3 Accessory uses and buildings.
6 2.4 Building Height Limit Required: Forth-five (45}
6 feet.
7 2.5 Minimum Lot S,Tidth Required: Twenty (20) feet,
8 2.6 Front Yard Required: None, except where frontage
9 in a block is partially in an °'R" district, in
10 which case the front yard shall be one-half that
11 required in such "R" districto
x'12 2.7 Bide Yard Required: None, except where the side of ~i
`13 a lot abuts upon the side of a lot in an "R" dist-
14 rict, in which case the abutting side yard shall not
15 be less than five (5) feet; and except where the
16 side yard on the street side of a corner lot abuts
17 on an 01R" district, in which case the side yard on
`18 the street side shall be one-half the front yard
19 required,in such ~°R" district,
20 2.8 Rear Yard Required; Twelve (12) feet; or five (5)
21 feet adjacent to an alley.
22 SECTION 3. All uses of land within the District not
23 specifically authorized and permitted under Section 2, are pro- 'i,
24 hibited.
25 SECTTON 4. Penalties for any violation of the zoning ~
26 hereby imposed within the District shall be as provided in the
'27 Zoning Enabling Ordinance. In compliance with the provisions of
S8 the Zoning Enabling Ordinance, this Ordinance shall from and after
29 its effective date become a supplement to and part of the Zoning
30 Enabling Ordinance.

days after the date of its passage, and before the expiration of
fifteen X15) days after its passage, this Ordinance shall be
published once with the names of the members voting for and
against it, in the Chico Enterprise-Record, newspaper published
in the County of Butte, State of California.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the
County of Butte, State of California, this 15th day of December,
1964, by the following vote:
AYES;Supervisors Alldredge, Giles, Pryde, Steinegger and
Chairman McKillop
