HomeMy WebLinkAbout83-004WHEREAS, over fifty percent of the landow~ers-voters in County Service Area No. 30 {Lighting) have petitioned thfs Board to expand the scope of the County Service Area ~o. 30 to include the instaTlation of two fire hydrants; and WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte int~nd to cansider a pro~osaT to extend the scope nf County Service Area No. 30 to include the installation of fire hydrants; and WHEREAS, no proceedings for this change in scope of a service area sha11 be instituted by this Board or requested by its members until approvaT of ~he Local Agency Formation Commission is first obtained. NOW, TNEREFORE, SE IT RESOLVE~ AND aRDERED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors as foliows: 1. App39cation and a proposal is hereby made to the ~ocal Agency Formation Commission in accordance with the Knox-Nesbit Act, beginning with Government Code Section 54773 to change the scope of County Service Area No. 30 to include the installation of two fire hydrants. The exterior boundaries of the proposed Service Area are the same as the exist~ng service area. 2. Changes of said Service Area are proposed under County Service Area Law (Chapter 2.2, Part 2, Division 2, Title 3 of t~e Government Code beginning with Section 25210.1). The type of extended service proposed to be provwded is fire protect~on facilities 3. The Clerk of the Board is authorized and directed to fi7e a certif~ed copy of this resolution with the Executive Officer of the Butte County Loca3 Agency Formatian Commis- sion.
