by the ~egislature to review applications for par~icipation in the
Caunty Justiice System Subvention Program, and
Wi~IERF.aS, the California Youth Authority required assurances
that the state subvention will not take the place of counCy funds
presently being e~zpended for the program included in the funding
request.
IvTOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors
a~ the Caunty of Butte that al1 funding reques~s in ~he county's
application as approved on ~anuary 25, 1983, axe for new programs
or for programs mandated by Chapter I071 of the 1976 Statutes, or
for programs funded by federal manpower funds.
The Board o£ Supervisors resolves that the County Justa.ce
Subuention Program funds in the 1382-83 fiscal year shall
be used in the same proportion of the total fox each pur-
pose specified in Section 1806 of the Welfare and znsti-
tutions Code as the county used in the ].98~--82 fiscaZ year,
including any ar~endments or modifications of 198I-S2
applications s~bmi~ted on or before June 30, 7.9$2; and
these fv.nds will be spent ~or the purposes set forth in
subdivision (a) o~ Section 18Q6 of the Welfare and Insti-
tutions Code. ~
