WNEREAS, property owner Charles Kasza has pe~itioned for annexation
of certain property to the Town of Paradise; and
WNEREAS, the master property tax agree~nent entitled °Agreement
Bet~veen Butte County and cities regarding the negotiated exchange of property
tax revenues re7ated to jurisdictional change (in accordance with Revenue and
Taxation Code §99, added by Chapter 282, Statutes of 1979, and amended by
Chapter 1161 of the Statutes of 1979), (agreement amended January 31, 1980),"
does not specify the sharing ratio between the Town af Paradise and
the County of Butte; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary for an agreement to be reached on the exchange
of property taxes between the two entities before the annexa~ion can be legally
complete; and
WHEREAS, the County of Butte does not wish to de7ay annexation
proceedings requested by this property owner.
NOW, TNEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Coun~y of Butte agrees to a
property tax spli~ for the above mentioned annexation with 56~ of the property
tax revenue allocable to the Town and County to be retained by the Town, and
44% of said property tax revenue to be paid to the County. Said 56/44 per cent
spTit to be effective July 1, 1984 and rema~n ~n effect following annexation
of safd properties to the incorporated limits of the Town of Paradise until
otherw5se agreed to by the Town and County through an appropriate Master Agreement.
