Public Employees' Retire~ent System; and,
WHEREAS, the County of 8utte has experienced and is anticipating
farther budgetary defic~encies due to decreasing revenue sources and
has had to eliminate 120 jobs and deny pay increases; and,
WHEREAS, the County of Butte has been advised by the Actuarial
Office of the Public Empioyees' Retireroent System that the County of
Batte may request the extension of its funding p~riod for current
service, death benef3ts and 1959 Survivar Benefit actuar~al liabilities
to Ju~e 30, 2011, under the terms of the contract with the Public
Employees' Retirement System;
BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors of the
County of Butte does request the extension of the funding period
for the current service, death benefits and 1959 Survivor Benefiit
actuarial liabi1ities to ~une 30, 201i, under said agreement and
further resolves to direct ~he County Clerk to forward a certified
copy of this resolution to the Pubiic Employees` Retirement System.

this 1st day of March , 1983 by the following
