HomeMy WebLinkAbout83-027RESOLUTION GIVING NOTLCE OF HEARING ON PETITION TO ABANDON ROADS WHEREAS, this Board has received a petition from Titus Kelly, and others, requesting the abandonment of roads as described below; and EJHEREAS, pursuant to Chapter 3, Part 3 of Division 9 of California Streets and Aighways Code, this Board shall set a date for a hearing on the petition for abandonment, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Boatd of Supervisors: 1. That this Board hereby gives notice that at its regular meeting on N~rch 29 , 1983 at io:oo a.m., in the Board Chambers, Butte County Administtation Building, Oroville, California, a hearing shali be held on the abandonment of the foilowing described roads: RUTHERFORD ROAD - RIGHT OF WAY Being that certain 40-foot and 60-foot right of way known as Rutherford Road lying within Sections 13, I4 & 24, T17N, RlE, M.D.M. as shown on those certain deeds recorded in Book 34 of deeds at Page 359, i~ Book 2ll of deeds at Page 88 and in Book 217 of deeds at Page 197, County of Butte, State of CalifoTnia, being moEe particularly described as follows: Being that certain 40-foot and 60-Poot right of way lying parallel with and contiguous to th~ following described line, begining at the south quarter corner of said Section 13 and being 20 feet on the left and 40 feet on the right; thence west one quarter mile more or less to the southwest cotner of the southeast one quarter of the southwest one quarter of said Section 13; thence being 40 feet on the left and 20 feet on the right, north one quarter mile more or less to the northwest corne~ of the southeast one quarter of the southwest one quarter of sazd Section 13 continuing with 40 feet on the le£t and 20 feee on ~he right west one quarter mile more or less along the north line of the southwest one quatter of the southwest one quarter of said Section 13 to the west line of Section 13, thence being 20 feet on the left and 20 feet on the right for the two fo~~owing courses and distances north one quarter mile more or less to the west quattet corner of said Section 13; thence along the east, west centerline of Section 14, one mile more or less to the wesC line of said Section 14 and the end of the described line. Said deeds of the right of way to be abandoned is on file at the office of the Recorder of Butte County, ~25 County Center Drive, Oroville, Cali~o~nia. -2- FARRIS ROAD - RIGHT OF WAY Being that certain 50-foot right of way known as Farris Road lying within Sections 17 and 20, T 17 N, R2E, M.D.M., as shown on that certain deed recorded in Book 34 of deeds at page 704, County of BuCte, State of California, being more parricuXarly described as follows: Being that certain 50-foot right of way lying easterly of and parallel with tihe westerly line of Sections 17 and 20 T17N, R2E, M.~.M., beginning at ~he corner o£ Sections 19, 20, 29 & 30, T17N, R2E, MDM, thence east along the Sect~on line between SeC~ions 20 & 29, 50 feet, thence north 2 miles more or less to the southerly right o~ way l~ne of that certain 60-foo~ righr of way known as West Evans Reimer Road, thence west along said right of way 50 feet to the west lzne of said section 17, thence south along the west line of Sectians 17 and 20 2 miles more or less to the point of beginning. Said deed of the zight of way to be abandoned is on file at the Office of the Recoxder of Butte County, #25 County Center Drive, Oroville, California. 2. That a map showing said portion of said right-of-way to be abandoned is on file at the Public Works Department, 7 County Center Drive, Oroville, California. 3. That the Clerk of this Board shall cause a certified copy of this Resolution, with the seai of the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California, to be recorded in the affice of the Recorder of the County of Butte, State ot California.
