HomeMy WebLinkAbout83-030RESOLUTIQ~ REQUESTING GOVERTIOR TO FRaC~AIM A STATE OF ~MERGENCY W~EREAS, on March 1, 1983, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte found that due to heavy rains, windstorms, floods, and other causes, a condit9on of extreme peril to life and property did exist in Sutte County; and WHEREAS, in accordance with state law the Board of Supervisors declared an emergency did exist throughout said county; and WHEREAS, it has now been found that local resources are unable to cope with the effects of said emergency; ~OW, THEREFORE, IT TS HEREBY pECLAtt~p ANp ORpERED that a copy of this declaration be forwarded to the Governor of Cali~ornia with the request that he proclaim the County of Butte to 6e a state of emergency; and further that the Governor request a presidential dec7erat9on. IT IS FURTHER ORDERE~ that a copy of this declaration 6e forwar~ed to the State Director of the Office of Emergency Services; and IT fS FURTHER RESOLVE~ that Clay Cast1eberry, Direc~or of Public Works, is thereby des~gnated as the author9zed representati:ve for public assistance and Robert Crisan, Director of Socia1 We7fare, is hereby des9gnated as the authorized representative for jnd~vidua1 assistance of the County of Butte for the purpose of receipt, processing, and coordinatian of all inquiries and requirements necessary to obtain avaiiabie sta~e and federa1 assistance.
