RFSf~LUTION QF THB BOARD OF SUPERVI~~RS OF THE CQUNTY OF BUTT~
APPRC?VING PHAS~ II OF THE LOCAL ARTS PLAN, AS SUBMiTTED T~
THE CALIFORN~A ARTS COUNCIT~ BY BUTT~ COUNTY ARTS C~MMZSSION
AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION ~F A GRANT CONTRACT
WITH THE CA~.IFORNIA ARTS COUI~7CIL
WHEREAS, the California Arts Council and the California State Le~islattire
have estab~ished a State/Local Partnership Pro~rarn desi~ned to encoura~e lacal
cul.tural planning and decisio~-makin~, and to reach previausl,y underserved
constituencies; and
WHE~.~AS, the Board of Stzpervisors designa.'ted the ButtE County Arts
Commission to c~evelop and subr~it Phase II af the Iacal arts p~.an.; and
WH~REAS, that ~hase has now becn sub~ittec~ to the Board af Supervisors.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board o~' Supervisors of
thE Courity of Butte does hereby approve of Phase II and c~esi~r~ates the Butte
Caunty Arts Comznission to execute the J.982-83 l.ocal. priorities grant contract
with the California Arts Council, contingent upon a.pproval af the Phase by the
CAC.
