RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PUBLIC WORI~S DIRECTOR TO SIGN AND SUBMIT
PREAPPLICATIdN, APPLICATION AND SUBSEQUENT RELATED AGREEMENTS
FOR FEDERAL ASSISTANCE FOR BUTTE COUNTY TRANSIT CAPITAL PROJECT
WHEREAS, Section 18 of the Urban Mass Transportat£on Act of 1964, as
amended, provides transit assistance for sma11 urban and rural areas; and
WHEREA$, the County of Butte is eligible to recefve funds under
Section 18 of the Act; and
WHEREAS, Butte County has identified a capital project for funding,
(acquiring two'',wheelchair accessible buses with fareboxes and two-way radios);
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors
that the Pubiic Works Director 3~e and is hereby authorized to sign necessary
documents to submit preapplication and final application papers and subsequent
xelated contracts or agreements to the appropriate Federal and State Agencies
for the Sutte Gounty Section 18 Grant.
