~ PARADISE BLUFFS ASSESSMENT D~STRICT N0. 1
This'is an agreement for engineering services between the
County of Butte of the State of California, referred to as Client,
and Lippincott-Guth Associates, referr~d to as Engi.neer.
1. Client retai.ns Engineer as Project Engineer for Parad~,se
Bluffs Assessment District No. 1 to per~orm the following servic~s:
(a} Preparation of an environmental assessment, to determa~ne
whe~,her the improvement wi~.l have a signif~.cant a.mpact
on the environment within the meaning af the Cali~ornia
Environmental Quality Act. ~
{b) P',regaration of an Environm~ntal Impact Report. if require~d
by Client.
tc) P'reparation of a map showing the proposed boundaries of
~ the assessment district, in accordance w~.~h the require--
ments of Division 4.5 af the Streets and Highways Cod~.
(d) Preparata.on of.the report required by Section I02~4 0£
the Streets and Highways Code (Mun~.cipal ~mprovement Act
of 1913), and modification of the report if directed by
~he Iegislative body of C~.ient. The report shall include
~ the following:

(f} Posting of notices of improvement on all open streets
within the assessment da.strict at distances not greater
than 340 feet apart. Capies o~ notice of improvement
~ for posting are to be provided by Client.

(h} Construction Contract Admina.stration.
(i) Attendance at meetings'of Client's 3egis~.ative body,
' when requested by Client`s sta~f, for the purpose o~ ~
~ pres~ating and seeking approval of the dacuments and
repr~ts described in subparagraphs (a) through (d) .
(j) Attendance at al~. other public meetings of Client at
which matters relating to the assessment distr~.ct are
considered, except routine matters.
{k} Attendance at staff m~etings or meetings of property
~ owners. upon the request o~ the Client, aftcr reason-
abl.e notice. ~
(Z) -Telephane consultata.on with staf~ members and property
~ owners to answer-eng~neering questions about the assess~-
ment.proceedings. ~
(m) Preparat~.on of change orders as may be required during
the course of construction.
(n) Preparation of a final cost schedu~.e after comp~etion
of the improvement and payment o~ all incidenta3. expenses.
2. The.services o~ Engineer under this agreem~nt sha3.1 not
include the following:
~ (a) Constructian inspection.
The performance'~y Engineer o~ servi.ces excluded by this nara-
graph, if required by Client, shall be under separate oral or written
agreement. ' ~
3. 2n consideration of the services set forth in p~aragraph
1, Cl~ent shall pay to Engineer the following ~ee:

{a) The amount due the Engineer sha11 be $3.7,200, being
the amount set forth by Engineer for that purpose in the Report
prepared by',him under Section 10204 of the Streets and Highways Code.
{~) Payment by Client of t1ce~ engineering fee is contingent
upon the levy o~.assessments and the sa~.e and delivery of improvement
bonds repr~senting unpaid assessments in the assessm~nt district. If
for any reason assessments are not confirmed and bonds delivered,
Engineer shall be paid no engineering fee, The ~ee of the Engineer
is payable upan reaeipt o£ bond proceeds by Client.

share of the acquisition costs plus improvements that are
being placed durinq Unit 1 construction benefiting Uni.t 2.
Lot 45 is an easement reserved for the placement of
utilities equ~,pment and has a zero assessment.
