RESOLU7IQN 70 AME~ip RESOI.UTION 83-(18 QF THE BOARD OF SUPERUISORS
ESTABLISHING THE COUN7Y CRIMINAL JUSTICE FACILITY CONSTRUCTIOP! FUPfD
WHEREAS, on January 25, 1983 the Board of Supervisors adopted
Resolution'83-08 establishina t1~e County Criminal Justice Facility
Construct~on Fund and imposing a surcharge on parking violations and
additiona7'assessments on non-parking fines; and
WHEREAS, on ~ebruary 8, 1983 the Board of Supervisors adopted
Resolution'83-1i amenclinq Section 5 of Resolution 83-E18 by establishing
that surcharges on parking cases become effective ~1ay 1, 1983; and
IIHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors desires to rescind Resolutfon P3-l.I
and estab7ish a new effective date for surcharges on parking cases.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESO~VED that Resolution 83-J.1 ~s hereby
rescindecl and that Section 5 of Resolution 83-08 is hereby amended to read
as follotvsc
5. The Clerk of the Board is instructed to transmit a copy of this
reso7ution to the Judges of the Courts of this county and to any entity
within this county that processes ~ts own parking tickets vrith the request
that the bai] scheduie amounts be ~ncreased as appropriate to reflect the
additional'assessments provided for by §120fi.8(a)(2) of the Penal Code effective
upon the adoption of this reso]ution and that surcharges on parking cases
provided for by Government Code §68073.4 and §i206.8(a)(1) of the Penal
Code become effective Ju7y l, 1983. .
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this
29th day of March 1983 by the fallowing vote:
