STATE DISABILITY INSURANCE COVERAGE
FOR COUNTY WORKERS
WHEREAS, the Butte County Board of Supervisors has recognized the
Butte County Employees' Association/SEIU Loca7 976 as the organization
representing employees in the Ge~eral Unit of representation pursuant
to Sectio~ 3500 et seq. of the California Government Code;
AND, WHEREAS, the County of Butte and the Butte County ~mployees'
Association have entered ~nto a Memorandum of Understanding regarding
wages, hours and cond3tions of employment for employees designated in
the General Unit of representation;
AND, WHEREaS, the County of Butte and the But~e County Employees'
Association have agreed to State Disability Tnsurance coverage for
employees in the General Unit of representation;
AND, bJHEP.EAS, a secret ~ailot election conducted by the State
Conciliation Service among employees in the General Unit of representation
resulted in a majority of the employees requesting coverage under the
State Disability Insurance Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Butte County Board of Supervisors
hereby makes application to the State of California pursuant to Sec~ion 710.5
of the ~nemployment Insurance Code for State Disabili~y Insurance coverage
of those employees designated in the General Unit of representation only,
said coverage to be effective July l, i983.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this
loth day of May , 1983 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Eulton, Moseley, Saraceni, Wheeler and Chair polan
NOES: None

NOT VOTING: None
