RESOLUTION MAKING APPLICATION TO THE BUTTE COUNTY

EXT~NDING SERViCES TQ COUNTY S~RVICE AREA N0. 24

TERRITORIES TO COUNTY SERVTCE AREA N~. 24
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Sutte -
intends to consider a proposal for adding of services to the
exa.sting County Service Area No. 24 for flood control improvements
and £~.ood control i.mprovement maintenance, as well as the annexa-
tion o£ certain territories to Cou~ty Service Area No. 24, and
WHEREAS, no groceedin~s for the extension of such services
or for annexataon of territory to Coun~y Service Area No. 24 shall
be instituted by this Board or reaUested by its members until
approval ot'the Local Agency Formation Commission is first obtained;

Ccsunty Board of Supexvisoxs as follows: .
1. Application and a proposal is hereby made to the Local
Agency Formation Commission in accordance t+rith the Knox-Nisbet
Act, beginning with Govexnment Code Section 54773 for extension of
powers to an existing county sexvice arsa and for annexata.on to
County Service Ax~ea No. 24. The exterior boundaries of the existing
County Service Area No. 24 are described in Exliibit A, Tlie proposed
annexation to County Service Area No. 24 is described in Exhibit B.
Both exhibits are attached hereto and made a part hereof by thi.s
reference. ,
2. 'I'he addition of se~vices and the annexation a£ texritoxy
to County 5ervice Axea No. 24 is pro~osed under County Service
Area Ia~a (Chapter 2.2, Part 2, Division 2, Tit1e 3 of the Govern-
ment Code beginning with Section 25210.~). The type of extended
services proposed are flood control improvements, construction and
maintenance.;
3. The Clerk of the Board if authorized and directed to file
a certified'copy of this resolution with tlie Executive Officer of
the Butte Caunty Local Agency Formation Commission.
