REQUIRII~G GEt~EERAI. MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS TO BE HELD
ON THE SAME QA1'~ l~S THE STATE GENERAL ELECTiON
WHER~AS, §36503.5 of the Government Code allows a City Council to
enact an ordinance requiring its General Municipal Elec~fon to be held on the
same day as the statewide Direct Primary Election, the day of the Statewide
Genera7 Election, or on the day of School District Elections as set forth in
§2602 of the'Election Code. Any ardinance adopted pursuant to this subdivision
shal] become'operative upon the approval of the Board of Supervisors; and
t~HEREAS, the City of Gridley has adopted Ordinance No. 424 requiring
General Municipal Elections to be held on the same day as the State General
Elec~ion. '
N04~, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED tha~ ~he Butte County Board of
Supervisars approves of Ord~nance No. 42~ adopted by the City of Gridley.
