APPEALS BOARD OF T~E COUPdTY OF BUTTE AS PROUT~ED UNDER
STATE HOUSING LAW
WHER£AS, on January 27, ~964 the Butte County Board of Supervisors
adopted Resolutian ~o. 64-3 establishing a"Local Appea7s Board" for the purpose
of hearing appeals regarding the building requirements being enforced by the
County of Butte; and
WHEREAS, said reso7ution states that the Appeals Board shall consist
of seven members who are appointed 6y the Board of Supervisors for a term of
two years; and'
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors now desires to change the membersh~p
of the Appeais'Board i~ ordar to a77ow for two alternate members.
NOW,'THER~FORE, BE iT RESOLVED, that Reso1ution ~o. 64-3 is hereby
amended to read as foltows:
"2. That said Board shall consist of seven members who are to be
appointed by the Board of Supervisors for a term of ~wo years. In addition,
there shatl be'appointed two alternate members who shall sit on the Appeals
Board whenever'any regu]ar member of the Rppeals Board is temporarily unab7e to
attend meetings. In mak~ng such appointments the Board of Supervisors shall
consider representation on said Soard from the folZowing general catagories:
(A) ,Attorneys at law
(B) Generai contractors
(C) ',Eiectricai contractors
(D} ! Pi umbing contractors
(E} ,Agriculturatis.ts
(F} General pub1ic at 7arge
PASSED AND ADOPTED by thi:s Board of Supervisors on June 7, 1983 by
the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors FuZton, Mo5eley, SaYaceni, Wheeler and Chair polan
NOES' None
ABSENT: None
NOT VOTING: None
