with en~orcement o£ bui3.ding codes and other related health and.safety code items; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to charge fees to cover ehe costs of this Division's
operations, and
WiiEREAS, the State of California has adopted energy regulations which will
add Plan checking and inspection costs to tihe Division`s operations,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Butte County Board o~ Supervisors that
Reso~.ution 82-110 is amended to read as follows:
1. Building Permit Fees
A fee shall be paid for each building in accordance with the fo~lowing
table:

The determination o£ va].ue ox' valuation fox the purpose of establishing
fees shall be made by tlze Building Official.. This valuation sha~1 he t[~e
total value of a11 constrac~.ion work for whic[~ the per[nit is issued as well
as a11 finish work, painting, roofing, electrical, pluwbing, heating, air
conditioning, and any other permanent work or permanent equipment.
A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING ENERGY ~'~ES TO BE CHARGED
BY THE BUILDING DIVISION OP THE DEPARTMENT OF PUSLIC
WORKS FOR BUIL-ING PERMITS.
The buildiqg permiti fees for factory-built housing and mobilehomes on
foundaCions sha11 be compueed in the same manner as for regular bui~ding
construceion excepC Chae ~he fee shail be one-half (1/2) of the building
permit fee deCermi~ed by the above table.
Buildipg permit renewal fees shall be one-half (1/2) of the original
buildfhg permit fee.
Inspection fees for energy regulations shall be $30.00 minimum with
additional inspectio^ fees based upon the ho~rly rate of $30.00/hoar when
determined necessarq by the Buiiding Official to cover the costs of the
Division.
5. Plan Check Fees
When a plan is required to be sabmitted by subsectioa (b) of Section
302 of tihe Uniform Building Code, a plan checking fee shall be paid
at the time of submitting the plans and specificatioas for checking.
P1an checking fees shall be one-half (1/2) ~he buildiag permit fees
as set forth in Item ~~1 above with a miaimum plan check fee of $15.00.
P1an checking fees for identical buildings or structures previously
plan checked and approved for coaformance with the 1979 Uniform
Building Code by the Building Department, Statie of Califorttia, o~
International Conference of Building Officials sha11 be $15.00.
P1a^ checking fees for energy regulations shall be a minimum of $15.00.
Additional plan check fees, based apon the hourly raCe, may be charged
by the Building Official When necessa~y ~o cover cosCS of ~he deparC-
ment.
Where pla~s are incomplete or changed so as Co require additiona~
plan checking, an additional plan check fee may be charged by the
Building Official, based upon $30.00/hour, wiCh a minimum fee of
$15.00.
P~an checkiqg fees for mobilehome utilities and mobiZehome ihs~allaCion
permits sha11 be $15.00.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that these energy fees wiZl be chaxged ih addiCioh
to the regalar fees required parsnant to Resolution 82-ILO.
