to consider a proposal for the establishment of a county service area for
the alleviation o~ £lood and highwater problems and for fire protection, the
boundaries of which are hereinafter described.
WHEREAS, no proceedings €or the establishment o£ such sexvfce area
shall be instituted by this Board or req~estefl by its members until approval
by the Loca1 Agency Formation Commission is first obtained.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT 12ESOLVED AND`ORDERED BY THE~:BUTTE--COUNTY-BOP,RD
OF SUPERVTSORS, as £ollows:
1. Application and a proposaZ is hereby made to the Local Agency
Formation Commission in accordance with the Knox-Nesbit 71ct, beginning with
Government Code Seati.on 54773, for establishment of County Servi.ce Area No. 90
the exterior boundaries of the proposed service area are described a.n Exhibit
"A" attached hereto and made a part hereof by this reference.
2. Establishment of said service area is proposed undez CountX
Service Area Law (Chapter 2.2, Part 2, Division 2, Title 3 of the Governtnent
Code beginning with Section 25210.1). The type of extended service proposed
to be provided is storm drainage and fire protection.
3. The Clerk of the Board is a~thorized and directed to fiJ.e a
certified copy of this resolution with the Executive Officer of the Butte
County Zoca1 Agency Formatiorr Commission.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Sutte County Board of Supervisors on
thi5 30th day of August, 1983, by the following vote:
