COUNTY SERVICE AREA N0. 35
WHEREAS, on June 7, 1983, the Butte County Board of Supervisors passed
and adopted Resolution 83-91 making application to the Local Agency Formation
Commission for the proposed dissolution of County Service Area No. 35; and,
WHEREAS, on August 4, 1983, the Local Agency Formation Co~niss~on passed
and adopted Resolution No. 83-20 approving the proposed dissolution of County Service
Area No. 35.
~OW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND OP.DERED by the Butte County Board of
Supervisors as follows:
1. Dissolution of said service area is proposed under the Gounty Service
Area Law. The type of extended service proposed to be dissolved is the insta3lation
of fire hydrants. 7he boundaries of said County Service Area No. 35 are described
in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof by this reference.
2. Pursuant to Revenue and Taxation Code, the funds generated within the
County Service Area No. 35 for structural fire protection services are proposed to
be transferred to the County of Butte and used to provide fire protect9on services
within the geographical area formerly serviced by County Service Area No. 35.
3. Pursuant to Revenue and Taxation Code, the funds he3d in trust shall
be used ta purchas~ a wa~er tender, the equipment needed ~o put the unit in service
and to construct a facility to house the unit.
4. That all obligations due and owang by County Service Area No. 35 are
proposed to be assumed by the County of Butte.
5. The reason for the proposed dissolution is that a17 of the hydrants
that are needed have been installed.
6. On October 18, 1983, at 10:00 a.m., a public hearing will be held on
the question of the dissolution of the said service area.
