much to the health and welfare of the naCion and has encouraged many
young people ro choose car.eers which help improve family and community
living, and
C~SEREAS, 4-H members put into practice the skills and sciencE
they learn through their 4-H projects and activities and strive to
"Make the Best Better", the motto oF the 4-H Club work; and
WHEREAS, young people, who are the citizens of L-omorrow, must
discover and acquire the vir.tues of responsibility, thoughefulness,
morality, and understanding in these changing times; and
WHEREAS, the boys and girls now enrolled in 4-H Clubs
throu~hout Butte County, under. the guidance o~ adult leaders, will
soon be estab~ishin~ homes of their own and ~aking their Qlace in
society as community leaders.
NOW, THEREFORE, B~ IT RESO~VED [hat this Soar.d, in reco~nition
of the fine achievements of 4-H members and their families, da herebq
pro~laim the week of nctober 2-8, 1983, as "4-H Club Week" in Butre
County.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors
