purpose of pLOViding enjoyment and diversion for those individuals
confined to convalescent hospitals; and
W~IEREAS, the Beautitudes, which began 15 years ago and is
currently serving over 350 people every month, consists solely of
individuals who donate their time and money to helping the elderly
confined to convalescent homes; and
WHEREAS, twice monthly The Beautitudes visft the area's
convalescent hospitals and other organizations who serve the disabled,
gather ~p all those individuals who are capable of traveling and
bring them to a central location, and serve them a seven-course meal,
prepared and served solely by volunteers, which is followed by
entertainment;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED as follows:
1. That this Board, on its own behalf, and on behalf of the citizens
of the County of Butte, expresses deep appreciation for the
unselfish devotion and dedication of The Beautitudes, who for 15
years have displayed the true spirit of giving.
2. That this Board takes pleasure in honoring and commending the
achievements of ~his vol~nteer group who have promoted joy and
spirit to this community, and joins in the celebtation of their
15th Anniversary.
