WHEREAS, Che naCion's business tiaomen contribute to the economic, socia3. and
political life of the coGnmunzty, staee, naeion and world; and
TdHEKEAS, t5e Presidene of ehe UnieecE SCates has recognized the contributions of
business women by declaring the third week in Qctober to be National Business Womens'
f7eek ; and
WHEREAS, the Plat~onal Federation of Business and Professionai Wemens' Clubs
of the United States wi11 honot working women from October 16 through October 22 by
sponsoring special activities that focus on career opportunities for young eaamen; and
WHEREr13, Ct;e California Federation of Dusiness and Pcofessional "v:omens' Clubs
will participate in uationa7. Business ~domens' ldeek by sponsoring a"Day on rhe Job"
for high school girls; and
SdHEREAS, it is the desire of the Butte County Board of S~pervisors to honoz
the nation's business women and to recognize the achievements of the CaliEornis
Federation of Business and Professional Womens' Clubs in promoting career op?ortunities
for esomen.

recognizes and appreciates coneribueions by business women ar.d ehe Caiifornia Federation
