OF W. T. SANAERS
WH~R~AS, Bill Sanders l~as held the position of Area
Commander fo-r the Cali~o~nza Highway Patrol in Oxo~i.lle since
October 3I, 1974; and
WHER~AS, Bil~ Sanders has been active i.n various community
groups, including, serving on the Board of Directors ~or the Oroville
C~amber of Commerce, coaching the A~erican Le~ion Baseball Team for
5 years; and serving as President of the Orovi~le Rotary C~ub this
pas~. yea~;
WHER~AS, Bil.l Sanders wa5 instr~mental in working towards
~~e adop~a.on of legisZation ~o le~alize the "G~eenlzne", direc~ting
v~sitors to historical points of interest in Oroville; and
WHEREAS, BiI~ Sanders was recen~ly promoted to the posi~ian
of Cap~ai~, an:d wi].1 ~ake o~er ~he command in OakJ.and effe~rive
November 1, 1983;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED ~ha~ ~his Board, on i~s own
behalf, and on beha~f of the residents of the County of Butte,
expresses appreCia~ion for ~he unseJ.fish devotion and dedication
displayed by Bill Sanders in the 9 years he has se~ved the ~esidez~ts
of ~the County of Butte.
