of Calitornia permits candidates for e~eC~ive offi~e in any lo~al
agency, city, county, city and county, or district to prepare a
statem~nt o~ qualifica~zons on a form provided by the County Clerk
to b~ sent to each voter toge~he~ wi~h ~he sample ballot; and
WHEREAS, said Section 1~012 further permits a local agency
to invozce each candidate avaiYing himself of said service a sum
not greater than the actual prara~ed costs o~ p~~nt~ng a~d handlin~
in~urxed by ~he i~ca1 agency as a result of providing said service;
and
WEiEREAS, ele~txons ~oE each of the school districts in ~~e
County of Butte, inc~uding the Butte Com~unity Col~ege Dis~ric~,
along wzth t~e Maryvsille Joint Unif~ed Schoo~ Dis~rzc~, wi11 hald
elec~ions ro be ~onsolidated with the State General E~ection ~o be
held on Tuesday, November $, ~983;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLV~D that this ~oard of Super-
visors does hereby direct t~~ County Clerk to invoice the Candida~es
availing th~mselves of the se~vice pro~ided ~or by Section 10012 of
the Elections Cod~ of th~ State of California in said eleGCiOnS.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED tha~ this Reso~u~ion te~minates after
~he close of th~ State General Election on November 8, 19$3.
