RESOLUTION IN RECOGNITION
OF FARM-CITY WEEK
WHEREAS, the pxosperity and we11-being of this community
a~e dependent upon cooperation beCween Che two great elements o~ our
society--farmers and urhan people; and
WHEREAS, the complexities of their individual problems and
the divergence of their activieies have lead to a misunderstanding;
and
WHEREAS, this misundexsCandaing is being eliminated as each
group attempts to understand the other in order that our American
way of life can endure;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLV~b that this Board, on its own
behalf, and on behalf of the citizens of the County of Butte,
designates the week of November 14-18, 1983, as "FARM-CITY WEEK".
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Boaxd calls upon the
citizens of this County to participate in the joint vi.sits, and
civic and social events, attendant to a su~cessful FARM-CITY WEEK in
Butte County.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte Countq Board of Supervisors
this 15th day of November, 1983, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Fulton, Moseley, Saraceni, Wheeler
and Chair polan
