of adequate financial support from absent parenCS; and
WHEREAS, California taxpayers lose, because they must pick
up the bill for providing basi~ supporC ro these children; and
WHEREAS, the amount of unpaid chi~d support arrearages is
growing at a rapid rate; and
WHEREAS, Chi1d Support Enforcement Week will provide a
focal point and an opportunity for highlightin~ the positive
benefits of establishing and enforcing child support;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that this Board does hereby
proclaim the week of November 27, 1483, as "Californza Child Support
Enforcement Week."
