The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of Califorria,
do ordain as follows:
SECTION 1: Said Board finds and determines that upon the basis of
an engineering and traffic survey, the County highway hereinafter described
comes within the provisions of Section 22358 of the Vehicle Code of the State
of California, in that a maximum speed limit of sixty-five (65) miles per hour
is more than is reasonable and safe on said highrrap, and determines and declares
a prima facie speed limit on such County highway as follows:
SECTION 2: That a prima facie speed ].unit of thirty (30) miles per
hour is hereby determined, declared and established upon the hereinafter des-
cribed County highi+ray, to zt*it:
On OROVn.TF QUTIQCY HIGHWAY, from the north 1_i_ne of Hillcrest
Avenue to a point 0,20 miles north of the Canyon Creek Bridge,
said point being on the north l.ixxe of Section 29, T20N, RSEo
SECTION 3 That SPkEAD I.St4IT 30 P~CLES signs be placed at appropriate
locations on the road described in Section 2.
SECTION 4: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict hexe-
rith are hereby repealed.
SECTION ~: The several features, parts, provisions, sections and
germs of this ordinance are hereby declared independent and severable, and the
invalidity, if any, of any feature, part, provision, section or term thereof
;hall not affect the remainder of this ordinance nor render the same inoperative
>r invalid,
SECTION 6: The Department of Public Z~lorks of the County of Butte is
zereby directed to erect appropriate signs giving notice of the prima facie speed
limits established herein, within thirty (30) days of the adoption hereof.
This ordinance shall take effect thirty (30)' days after its passage
~,nd before the expiration of, fifteen (15) days after its passage, it shall be
published Urith the names of the members voting for and against same, once in
~, local newspaper published in the County of Butte, State of California.
