RESOLUTION MAKING APPLICATIOM TO THE BUTTE COUNTY LQCAL
AGENCY FORh~ATIOP! COh~A1ISSI0N REGARDING A PRQPOSAL TO EXTEND THE
AUTHORITY OF COUNTY SERVICE AREA hd0. 89 TO INCLUDE FLDOD CONTR~L
UlHEREAS, the Roard af Supervisors of the County of Butte previous7y
initiated the formation of Co~nty Service Area No. 89 by Tts Resolution Plo. 83-137
for storm drainage maintenance; and
WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission had previously
authorized the Board of Supervisors to hold forma~ion hearings at their September 1,
1983 meeting.
NOIJ, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLIIED AND ORDERED BY THE BUTTE COUNTY ~30ARD
OF SUPERVISORS, as follows:
1. Appl~cation is here~y made to the Local Ag~ncy Formation Co~nmission
to extend the au~hority granted to Coan~y Service Area 89 ~o include flood
control purposes.
2. Extension of said service is proposed under County Service Area
Law (Chapter 2.2, Part 2, Division 2, Title 3 of the Government Code, beginning
with Section 25210.1).
3. The C7erk of the Board is authorized and directed to file a
certified copy of this resolution w~~h ~he Executive Officer of the B~tte County
Local Ageney Formation Commission.
