AN ORDINANCE A~viENDING ORDINANCE NO.
645 INCREASING THE COMPdERCIAL AREA
EAST OF OROVILLE

The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of Calif
do ordain as follows:
3 That Butte County ordinance No. 6~#5 are hereby amended in the
following respects and particulars:
4 SECTION 3. In addition to the uses permitted and authorized
6 under Section 2, and solely within those portions of the District
hereinafter specified, "H-C" (Highway Commercial) uses may be permit ed
subject to the issuance of a use permit in each case (Highway Commer is
6 ses being identical with "C-1" or Retail Light Commercial uses as
7 escribefl in Ordinance No. 522):
8 A. Land having frontage on Palermo Road; General commercial
("C-2") uses; said commercial area shall be developed to a
9 proper grade to the existing road and the depth shall not
exceed three hundred and thirty (330) feet on -the west side
of Palermo Road and shall not exceed a dept of thirteen
10 hundred and twenty (1320) feet on the east side of said
11 Palermo Road (measurement from centerline).
12 B. Manufacturing uses may be permitted by the Planning Commission
on the west side of Palermo Road from the Southern Pacific
13 rights-of-way to a distance not closer than three hundred
and thirty feet from the centerline of Palermo Road.
14 C. Land having frontage on Lower Wyandotte Road-Upper Palermo
15 Road 500 feet north and south of the intersection with said
roads.
16 Each commercial use for which use permit is granted under this
17 ection, shall provided off-street parking as prescribed by the
Tanning Commission.
18 This Ordinance shall be, and it is hereby declared to be in ful
19 force and effect from and after thirty (30) days after the date of
its passage and before the expiration of fifteen {15) days after it
20 passage, this Ordinance shall be published once with the names of t e
members of the Board of Supervisors voting for and against it in
21 the Oroville Mercur , a newspaper published in the
County of Butte, State of California.
22 PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of
23 Butte, State of California, on this 2nd day of February ,
1965 by the following vote:
24: AYES: supervisors Giles, McKillop and Chairman Pryde
