RESOLUTION IN APPRECIATION
OF SPECIALIST 4 CRAIG SCHMIDT
WHEREAS, Craig Schmidt served as a Specialist 4 in the
235th infantry of the 82nd Airborne division of the U.S. Army; and
WHEREAS, Spec. 4 Craig Schmidt was among the first waves
of U.S. infantry landing on Grenada; and
WHEREAS, Spec. 4 Craig Schmidt fought Cuban rebels and the
remains of the Grenadian mititia in the jungles on the island;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE TT RESOLVED that this Board. on its own
behalf, and on behalf of the residents of the County of Butte,
expresses deep appreciation for the unselfish dedication and devotion
to duty rendered by Specialist 4 Craig Schmidt.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors
this 10th day of January, 1984, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Dolan; Fulton, Moseley, Wheeler
and Chairman Saraceni
