Resolufiou No. 84-04
WHEREAS, the Legislature of the State of California enacted
and the Governor signed AB 1149, in part allowing that reasonable
representation fees shall be offset against the county lien claim for
reimbursement in specified actions in federal court concerning appli-
cants for or recipients of the state's supplementary program; and
WHEREAS, said legislation allows for counties to be exempted
from said provisions.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that this Board hereby exer-
cises its right to exempt itself from the mandatory obligation to pay
representation fees pursuant to Welfare and Institutions Code Section
17403.1.

this 10th day of January, 1984, by the following vote:
