RESOLUTION REQUESTING LOCAL AGENCY FORMATION COMMISSION TO AMEND
SHORT TERM DESIGNATION OE COUNTY SERVICE AREA N0. 87
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte,
State of California, adopted and passed Resolution No. 8 3130, a
resolution establishing County Service Area No. $7 (Upper Mud Creek), and
WHEREAS, said short term designation "Upper Mud Creek"
which was contained in Paragraph ~ of said Resolution No. $3-130
appears duplicative and confusing to a previous county service area
given the designation of CSA 24 {Chico - Mud Creek Drainage}; and
WHEREAS, Government Code §3515${b) confers upon the Local
Agency Formation Commission to prescribe the short term designation
of a county service area or other district.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors
of the County of Butte, State of California, as follows:
1. That said Board hereby requests the Butte County Local
Agency Formation Commission, in accordance with Government Code §35158(b~
to change the short term designation of County Service Area 87 from
"Upper Mud Creek Drainage" to "Keefer Road/Rock Creek Drainage."
2. No other provisions relating to the establishment of
County Service Area No. 87 are to change.

by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Dolan, Fulton, Moseley, Wheeler and Chairman
