RESOLUTION IN APPRECIATION
OF SERGEANT ALBERT J. IMHOFF
WHEREAS, Sgt, Al Imhoff of the Butte County Sheriff's
Department has consistently performed outstanding and exemplary
work in his 24 years with the Sheriff's Department; and
WHEREAS, Sgt. Al Imhoff, while off duty and driving in
the Chico area, saw heavy black smoke emanating from a residence
and as he got closer, discovered a woman screaming from the interior
of an attached garage, which he found had been secured by bolts from
the inside.
WHEREAS, Sgt. Al Imhoff, with the assistance of two
passersby, were able to rescue the woman from the garage, at which
time he learned there were small animals still inside the house;
and
WHEREAS, Sgt. Al Imhoff,
his own safety, attempted to enter
animals, only to be turned back by

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED as follows:
1. That the Butte County Baard of Supervisors commends Sgt. Al
Imhoff for his outstanding work with the Butte County Sheriff's
Department and for his unselfish devotion to the citizens of
the County of Butte.

selected Exchange Club Officer of the Year.
