STATE OF CALIFORNIA Resolution No.84-64 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SUBMISSION OF AN APPLICATION TO THE STATE OF CALIFORNLA FOR A COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD OF CHAPMANTOWN WHEREAS, pursuant to Sections 7050, and 7124 of the California Administrative Code, the California Department of Housing and Community Development (hereinafter referred to as the State) is administering the 1984-85 Community Development Block Grant Program (hereinafter referred to as CDBG) for the State of California; and WHEREAS, the State has requested that proposals for this Community Development funding be submitted by April 10, 1984; and WHEREAS, the Count of Butte (hereinafter referred to as' the County), a local public agency organized under the statutes of the State of California, is eligible to apply to the State of California for funding for Community Development activities within its jurisdiction; and WI3EREAS, the Butte County Board of Supervisors on February 28, 1984, established its intent to apply for Community Development funds under the general portion of the CDBG program to finance a neighborhood improvement program in the neighborhood of Chapmantown. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the County is hereby authorized to submit an application to the State of California requesting $500,000 to finance a program of public works improve- ments and housing rehabilitation in the Chapmantown area of the unincorporated County; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors has reviewed the contents of the 1984 Community Development application to the State of California and approves of its contents, and -2- BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chairman of the Board of Supervisors is authorized to sign this application on behalf of the County; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chairman of the Board of Supervisors is authorized to sign the State of Assurances, assuming responsibility for the County's compliance with appli- cable federal, state and local laws that apply to the expenditure of state Community Development funds.
