RESOLUTION REGARDING UTILIZATION OF PRIME COMPUTER
WHEREAS, the County of Butte has been designated as a Service
Delivery Area (SDA) under the Jobs Training Partnership Act (JTPA), PL 97-300,
§101 et al of the Act; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors and the Private Industry Council
(PIC) have entered into an agreement designating the county as grant recipient
and administering entity per §103(b)(1)(B) of the Act; and
WHEREAS, the Prime computer was transferred from the jurisdiction
of the CETA Prime Sponsor to the custody of the administering entity on
October 1, 1983 in accordance with §181(g) of the Act; and
WHEREAS, there remains capacity on the Prime computer after all
JTPA/PIC activities have been addressed.
NON, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Auditor-Controller's Office
will reimburse the Job Training Partnership Act Program with in-kind services
for computer time used for county budget preparation at a rate of $7.00
per hour of connection time to the Prime computer. The minimum monthly
connection charge shall be one hour computer time. This rate represents
a fair and reasonable charge based on prevailing community rates and it
is estimated this charge will nat exceed $2,000 per year. The utilization
and in-kind service shall be documented by the Auditor-Controller in sufficient
detail to enable an accurate audit of such charges.
