HomeMy WebLinkAbout84-079r..._ a r ^. ,0,. ,, , ._ . - -_ , ., r , _~ ,- , - ~~ BOARD OF SUPERVISORS :~. *~ -COUNTY OF E?UTTE, STATE OF GA~IFOF2NIA Nei ftesolufion NO. 84-79 RESOLUTION DESIGNATING THE CHIEF ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER AS THE RESPONSIBLE OFFICIAL FOR THE "AGREEMENT ON ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES BETWEEN THE PRIVATE INDUSTRY COUNCIL OF BUTTE COUNTY, INC. AND THE BUTTE COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS" WHEREAS, the Private Industry Council is proposing the adoption of an "Agreement on Roles and Responsibilities Between the Private Industry Council of Butte County, Inc. and the Butte County Board of Supervisors" (herein referred to as the Agreement) which charges the Board to be responsible for the administration of the Jobs Training Partnership Act; and WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 2341 makes the Chief Administrative Officer responsible to the Board of Supervisors far the proper and efficient operation of all county offices, departments and institutions under the jurisdiction of the Board of Supervisors and in Section 2-20.4(G) directs the Chief Administrative Officer to. ."be responsible for the administration of all county contracts and their faithful performance"; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Chief Administrative Officer is hereby designated as the county officer responsible for the administration of the "Agreement on Roles and Responsibilities Between the Private Industry Council of Butte County, Inc. and the Butte County Board of Supervisors" and previous designations for the administration of employment and training activities under the Comprehensive Employment and Training Act or the Jobs Training Partnership Act are repealed; and BE TT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chief Administrative Officer, in order to implement and administer the Agreement, is authorized to: A. Create an Executive Officer responsible to the Chief Administrative Officer tv provide the administrative services specified in the agreement, B. Establish the Jobs Training Partnership Act administrative unit and provide for its proper staffing, subject to budget limitations, C. Appoint a county department head or employee to serve as Executive Officer, at the pleasure of the Chief Administrative Officer, and D. To take other organizational, personnel, or budgetary actions necessary to assure proper administration of this agreement.
