RESOLUTION INITIATING PROCEEDINGS POR THE CONSOLIDATION
OF THE OROVILLE AND WYANDOTTE CEI~~ETERY DISTRICTS.
j~UIiEREAS, a majority of the members of each of the legislative
bodies of the Oroville and jyandotte Cemetery Districts have adopted
substantially sim filar resolutions making application to the Butte County
Laca1 Agency Formation Commission far the consolidation of the
districts tivith the successor district to be called the Oroville
Cemetery District and located in the County of Butte; and
iVHE~EAS, the Oxoville and Wyandotte Cemetery Districts have
stated drat tI~ie reason for the proposed consolidation is to eliminate
the need for separate administration of the b'dyandotte Cemetery and to
provide professional management for the Wyandotte Cemetery;and
WI-iEREAS, Wyandotte Cemetery Association has non-tax funds
which. shall be transferred to an endowment care fund for the perpetual
maintenance of the Wyandotte Cemetery.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, DETERI~~INED AND ORDERED as
follows:
1. 'On Tuesday, October 16, 1984, at 10:00 a.m. in the Board
of Supervisors Room, 25 County Center Drive, Oxoville, Galifoxnia,
the Butte County Board of Supervisors sha11 l~o1d a public hearing to
consider the proposed consolidation.
2. :'Any inter ~ ted person desiring to make written protest
against ti:e k~roposed consolidation s1a11 d~~ so in writing fzled with
the Clcrlc of the Board. of Supervisors no later than 10:0U a.m. on
Tuesday, Octo'oer 1G, 1984. A written protest by a land. owner sha11
contain a uescription sufficient to icl.entify the land owned by tine
land owner; protest by a voter sha11 coni:a:in the residential address
of sucl•~ voter.
