HomeMy WebLinkAbout84-202~~ ~`~ .•' fi; ` COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF`: CALIFORNIA Reso~ufion Na. 8~-202 RESOLLrTION GALLING AND GIVTNG NOTICE OF AN ELECTION TO AUTHORIZE FORMATION OF THE PROPOSED BUZZTAIL COhm4i1NITY SERVICES DISTRICT AND ELECTING PERSONS TO FILL TFIE OFFICES OF THE PROPOSED DISTRICT IF IT IS FORD?ED ~tTHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the Gounty of Butte has approved the boundaries of the proposed Buzztail Community Services District; and ~'rHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 61,1.27 of the Government Code of. the State of California, the Board is thereafter authorized to give notice of an election and call said. election for puuposes of authorizing the formation of said District, and electing officers thereto. NOl~V, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED the Board does hereby give notice as follows: 1. On A?arch 5, 1985, an election shall be held for purposes ~.- of determining whether or not the Buzztail Gommunity Services District should be formed, and f.or electing persons to fill the offices of the proposed District if it is formed. 2. Said election shall be conducted between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and S:OO p.m. on A?arch S, 19$S. 3. The polling place far conduct of said election shall be the Fire House, Nopel Drive, Forest Ranch, California. 4. -The boundaries of the proposed District considered in the election are set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herewith. 5. The name of the proposed District sha11 be the Buzztail Community Services District. 6. The issues to be presented to the voters of said election sha11 be as follows: Proposition No. l: Sha11 a Gommunity Services Distract, to be known Vote for any three of the fo11o~+Ting named part~.es for the office of Director of the Buzztail Community Services District. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that nomination of persons fox the position of Director of the Buzztail Community Services District shall be by petition. Said petition shall be received from the Butte County Clexk and returned no later than the published deadline. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that notice of the election shall he published once a week f:or at least three weeks previous to the election in a newspaper of general circulation published within Butte County. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution shall be delivered to the Executive Officer of the Local. Agency Formation Commission of the County of Butte. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that written arguments for and against the formation of said District shall be filed with the Elections Clerk of the County of Butte no later than the published deadline.
