RESOLUTION DECLARTN~ THE RESULTS OF THE
FORMATION ELECTION FOR WESTERN CANAL
WATER DTSTRICT AND ESTABLISHING DISTRICT
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte scheduled
a formation election for December 18, 1984 to determine whether the landowners
t~vithin the proposed l~lesterh Can a1 dater District, desired to form said land-
holdings into a California Water District; and
WHEREAS, said election was duly noticed and held on December 18,
1984; and
WHEREAS, the County Clerk-Recorder of the County of Butte, has canvassed
the votes for the District formation e1ectian, which canvass of votes is attached
hereto as Exhi bi t "A" ; and
WHEREAS, it appearing that a majority of all of the votes cast favor
the formation of the District.
N0J~1, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the lands described on the map
attached hereto as Exhibit "B" are declared to be formed into a California 1"Jater
District pursuant to the provisions of Section 34000 et. seq. of the Water Code
of the State of California.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the name of the District sha11 be the
Western Canal 4later District,
BE IT FUP,THER RESOLVED that the District sha11 be determined to be
formed as of the date of certification of the election results, December 21, 1984,
and that a certified copy of this order is to be duly recorded with the Recorder
of the Counties of Butte and Glenn.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Clerk of the County of Butte
shall immediately file a certified copy of this Order tivith the Secretary of State
pursuant to the provisions of Section 34503 et. seq. of the Water Cade of the
State of Cali forni a.
