IN RECOGNITION OF BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA
DTAMOND JUBILEE OF SERVICE
WHEREAS, the Boy Scouts of America has served our Nation's youth
from 1910; and
WHEREAS, more than 70 million youths and adults have benefited from
being members of this highly regarded youth movement; and
WHEREAS, Scouting is available for all youth regardless of race,
religion, or socio-economic Tevel who are taught character, citizenship and
fitness .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Butte County Board of
Supervisors recognize and proclaim to all of its citizens in extending sincere
congratulations to the Boy Scouts of America on its Diamond Jubilee of Service
to the United States of America and commend those community groups that provide
volunteer adult leaders who make it possible for the Scouting Program to bring
its proven benefits to our young people.
BE TT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this Board makes this finding in the
year 1985, on the seventy-fifth anniversary of the founding of the Boy Scouts
of America.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte,
State of California, this 5th day of February, 1985, by the following vote:
