A RESOLUTIOIQ AMENDING RESOLUTION 83-102
WHICH ESTABLISN~S FEES FOR THE BUILDING
DIVISION OF THE DEPARTI~NT OF PUBLIC WORKS.
WHEREAS, it is necessary to charge fees to cover the costs of the Building
Division operations, and
WHEREAS, these costs have risen since the 1982 Resolution establishing fees,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors
that Section 1 and Section 5 of Resolution 83-102 are amended to read as follows:
1. Building Permit Fees

A fee shall be paid for each building in accordance with the following
BUILDING PERMIT FEES
TOTAL VALUATION FEES
$1.00 to $500,00 $10.00
$501,00 to $2,000.00 $10.00 f or the first $500.00 plus $1.50 for
each add itional $100.00 or fraction thereof,
to and i ncluding $2,000.00
$2,001.00 to $25,000.00 $32.50 for the first $2,OOO.Op plus $6,00
for each additional $1,000.00 or fraction
thereof, to and including $25,000.00.
$25,001.00 to $50,000,00 $170,50 for the first $25,000.00 plus $4.50
for each additional $1,000.00 or fraction
thereof, to and including $50,000.00
$50,001.00 to $100,000.00 $283.00 for the first $50,000.00 .plus $3.00
for each additional $1,p00.00 or fraction
thereof, to and including $100;000.00,
$100,001.00 and up $433.00 fox the first $100,000.00 plus $2.50
for each additianal $1,000.00 ox fraction
thereof.
The determination of value or valuation for the purpose of establish-
ing fees shall be made by the Building Official. This valuation shall be
the total value of all construction work for which the permit is issued as
well as all finish work, painting, roofing, electrical, plumbing, heating,
air conditioning, and any other permanent work or permanent equipment.
The building hermit fees for factory-built housing and tnobilehomes on
foundations shall be computed in the sane manner as for regular building
construction except that the fee shall be one-half (1/2) of the building
permit fee determined by the above table,
Building permit renewal-fees shall be one-half (1/2) of the original
building permit feed
Inspection fees for energy regulations shall be $30,00 m;n;,rn~ with
additional inspection fees based upon the hourly rate of $30,06/hour when
detP~*~+~ned necessary by the Building Official to cover the costs of the
Division.
5. Plan Check Fees
When a plan is recn,;red to be sul~itted by subsection (b) of Section
302 of the Uniform Building Code, a plan checking fee shall be paid
at the time of submitting the plans and specifications for checkinga
Plan checking fees shall be one-half (1/2) the building permit fees
as set forth in Item ~kl above with a m;,,;,m~, plan check fee of $15.00.
Plan checking fees for identical buildit~as or structures previously
plan checked and approved for conformance with the 1982 lhta.form Build-
ing Code by the Building Department, State of California, or Inter-
national Conference of Building Officials shall be $15.00,
Plan checkir~ fees for energy regulations shall be a m;~,;,rnm, of $15000,
Additional plan check fees, based upon the hourly rate, may be charged
by the Building Official when necessary to cover costs of the depart-
ment .
Where plans are incomplete or changed so as to requixe additional plan
checlcis~g, an additional plan check fee tray be charged by the Building
Official, based upon $30,00/hrnir, with a m;n;~ ~ fee of $15.OOo
Plan checking fees for tnobilehome utilities and mobilehome installation
permits shall be $15.00.
BE IT FURTf~R RESOLVED that this Resolution shall be effective on
March S, 1985
