CHILD ABUSE PREVENTION WEEK
WHEREAS, Child abuse is a serious national and local concern for
all people; and
WHEREAS, there is continuing need for an ongoing awareness and
prevention programming for child abuse; and
WHEREAS, during the week of April 14, 1985 through April 20, 1985,
Parent Education Network, in cooperation with the Butte County Child Abuse
Council and the Butte-Glenn Medical Auxiliary, will sponsor Child Abuse
Prevention Week; and
WHEREAS. this is the first Child Abuse Prevention Week for Butte
County and our children can be better protected through the continued
awareness and involvement of the community.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this Butte County Board of
Supervisors that the period of April 14 through April 20, 1985, be declared
Child Abuse Prevention Week and urges all the residents of Butte County to
recognize and participate in this special observance.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this
26th day of February, 1985, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Dolan, Mclnturf, McLaughlin and Chairman Fulton
NOES: None
ABSENT: Supervisor Wheeler
NOT VOTING: None
