RESOLUTION DECLARING MARCH 15-21, 1985
AS "AGRICULTURE WEEK IN BUTTE COUNTY"
WHEREAS, agriculture continues to be the backbone of
this country's economy; and
WHEREAS, California is the Number One agriculture producing
state in the United States; and
WHEREAS, agriculture is the essential industry in the
State of California; and
WHEREAS, a substantial portion of the ecanomy'in Butte
County is agricultural productivity;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board as follows:
1. That in order to show agriculture's vital role
to the economy of the County of Butte, this Board hereby declares
March 15-21, 1985, as "Agriculture Week in Butte County."
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors
this 12th day of March, T985, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Dolan, McTnturf, McT,aughlin, Wheeler and
Chairman Fulton
