Resolution No. 85-38
RESOLUTION HONORING
PLEASANT VALLEY GIRLS BASKETBALL TEAM
WHEREAS, the Pleasant Valley Vikings Girls Basketball
Team went into the Division II State Basketball finals with a
27-0 record; and
WHEREAS, the Pleasant Valley Girls were up against the
E1 Camino Wildcats, who had a 27-1 record and had beaten teams
throughout the year by an average of 55 points; and
WHEREAS, the Pleasant Valley Girls played brilliantly
and through confidence, athletic ability, and persistence, were
successful in dealing the El Camino Wildcats a 63-49 loss;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors
of Butte County, that this Board takes great pleasure in honoring
and commending the Pleasant Valley Vikings Girls Basketball Team
and Coach Tom Campbell for their outstanding athletic ability:
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors
expresses the congratulations of all Butte County residents for
the exceptional achievement of the Pleasant Valley Vikings Girls
Basketball Team for winning the Division II State Basketball
Championship.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors
this I9th day of March, 1985, by the following vote:

Wheeler and Chairman Fulton
