NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte hereby amends Section 6.6 of the Personnel Ruies of the County of Butte to read as follows: 6.6 SELECTION PROCESS APPEAL Any applicant who has participated in a selection process may appeal to the Personnel Director for review of the rating received in any part of the selection process to assure uniform rating procedures have been equitably applied. Such appeal must be filed in writing with the Personnel Director within (20) twenty days after the date on which the notification of the results of such selection process was mailed to the applicant. A selection appeal must clearly state the selection process rating questioned, the date of the process and the action requested. The decision by the Personnel Director shall be final. Any correction in rating sha17 not affect appointments which may have already been made from the eligible list which resulted from the selection process rating in question. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte hereby amends Section 6.8(b) of the Personnel Rules of the County of Butte to read as follows: b. Composition of Eligible List. An eligible list consists of the names and scores of applicants who qualified with a minimum final score of 70% for the class of position in the selection process. The final scores of the applicants sha71 be recorded in incremental score groups ranging from 70% to 100% by rounding to the nearest five percent (5%}. Names within each incremental score group shall be arranged in alphabetical order. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte hereby amends Section 6.9(c) of the Personnel Rules of the County of Butte to read as follows: c. Promotional and Open Eligible Lists. The Personnel Director shall certify from the appropriate promotional or open eligible list for the class of position to the appointing authority names of the highest ranking (3) three incremental score groups of eligibles who have indicated a willingness and availability to accept the conditions of employment. In the event that there are less than (5) five names of eligibles in the (3} three highest incremental score groups to be certified to an appointing authority for a vacancy, or when the request for eligibles is for multiple vacancies in the same class of position and there are less than (5) five eligibles plus one eligible for each additional vacancy in the {3) three highest incremental score groups, the Personnel Director may certify in addition the names of eligibles in the next lower incremental score group or groups. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte hereby amends Section 6.9(e) of the Personnel Rules of the County of Butte to read as follows: e. Selective Certification. When a position which is assigned special duties or is required by law to meet certain requirements becomes vacant, the Personnel Director may determine which applicants on the eligible list meet these special requirements. The Personnel Director shall certify the names of the highest ranking eligibles who meet the special requirements in the same manner specified in Section 6.9(c} above.
