ON PETITION TO ABANDON A PORTION OF A ROAD
WHEREAS, this Board has received a petition from Bruce
McDougal, and others, requesting the abandonment of a portion of a
road as described below; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Chapter 3, Part 3 of Division 9 of
California Streets and Highways Code, this Board shall set a date
for a hearing an the petition for abandonment,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors:
1. That this Board hereby gives notice that at its regular
meeting on June 4 , 1985 at 3:00 p ,m., in the Board Chambers,
Butte County Administration Building, Oroville, California, a hearing
shall be held on the abandonment of the following described road:
PORTION OF OAK WAY RIGHT OF WAY -
Parcels 1 & 2 - AP 42-14-120
Parcel 1 - A portion of Lot 76, as shown on that
certain map entitled, "Map of the Second Subdivision
of the John Bidwell Rancho, near Chico, Butte County,
California," which map was recorded in the office of
the County Recorder of the County of Butte, State of
California, September 17, 1900, in Book 5 of Maps,
at page 27, more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the most southerly corner of said
Lat 7b; thence N 60°56'25" W along the southwesterly
line of said Lot 76, 22.88 feet to the TRUE POINT
OF BEGINNING: thence continuing along said south-
westerly line N 60°56'25" W, 99.67 feet to a paint
on the southerly 60 foot road right of way line of
Oak Way; thence N 90°00'DO" E along said southerly
right of way line, 2.08 feet to the beginning of a
290 foot radius curve, concave to the north; thence
easterly along the arc of said curve and said
southerly right of way line, through a central
angle of 14°06'23" and an arc length of 71.40
feet; thence nn a radial line bearing S 14°06'23"
E, 58.94 feet to the TRUE PRINT OF BEGINNING.
Containing an area of 0.05 acre.

Parcel 2 - Being a portion of that 40
of way lying south of Lot 76 as shown
of the Second Subdivision of the John
as recorded in Book 5, Maps of Record
County of Butte, State of California,
particularly described as follows:

on the Map
Bidwell Ranch
, at page 27,
and more
Being all of that certain 40 foot right of way
Iying southerly of and contiguous to the southerly
lot line of Lot 76 of said subdivision, bounded an
the east by the westerly right of way line of that
existing 20 foot right of way being parallel with
and 20 feet westerly of the easterly line of Lot
56 of said subdivision and bounded on the north by
the southerly right of way line of that certain 60
foot right of way known as Oak Way.
Said Map showing the 40 foot right of way to be
abandoned is on file in the Office of the Butte
County Department of Public Works, 7 County Center
Drive, Oroville, California.
2. That a map showing said portion of said road to be
abandoned is on file at the Public Works Department, 7 County Center
Drive, Oraville, California.
3. That this Resolution be posted and published pursuant
to the provisions of Chapter 3, Part 3 of Division 9 of California
Streets and Highways Cade.
