RESOLUTION PROCLAIMING JUNE 1985 THE
MONTH OF THE SOBER GRADUATTON
WHEREAS, injury from alcohol-related acidents is teenagers' number
one health problem today; and
WHEREAS, teenagers who drink and drive cause the dealth of themselves
and others; and
WHEREAS, teenage passengers show a high rate of death starting at
age thirteen; and
WHEREAS, in 19$3 more than 6,000 teenagers lost their lives in
alcohol-related fatalities.;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE TT RESOLVED 6y t6e Board of Supervisors, County
of Butte, State of Ca7Zforni:a, that June 1985 is proclaimed the Month of the
Sober Graduatl'on, and that said proclamation ~e given widest distribution among
schools i~n Butte County and the Butte County media.
PASSED AND ADOPTED 6y the Board of Supervisors, County of Butte,
this 21st day of Mav 1985, 6y the following
