AiV ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 19 OF THE CODE OF
BUTT; COUNTY BY ADDING BRC o 19+18, "DISCHARGE OF
SEAAGE TO STRFAMS~~
Tine BOARD OF 5U~ERVISO1tS of the County of Butte, Mate of
California, do ordain as follows:
la Section 19 of the Code of Butte County, California,
is hereby amended by adding the following subwsection thereto:
Sec. 19.18. DISCHARGE OF SEt~AGE TO ;STREAMS.
It shall be unlawful for any person or persons to
directly discharge sewage9 or sewage effluent, to Lake
Oroville or to the streams on the watershed thereofa to
that portion of the Feather River existing between the
main Oroville 7~am and the Thermalito Diversion Dam and
tributaries thereto, the Forebay of the Oroville Dam, its
tributary water coursesk the Afterbay of the Oroville -am
and its tributary water courses„ Big Chi co Creek, and its
watershed from its point of commencement within the County
of Butte to The Esplanade in the City of Chico, Butte
Creek and its watershed and tributaries thereto from its
commencement in the County of Butte to the Skyway Bridge
crossing.
2..'This Ordinance will take effect thirty (30) days
after its passage, and before the expiration of fifteen (15) days
after its passage, it shall be published at least once with the
names of the supervisors voting for and against in a local news
paper published in the County of Butt e9 State of California.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the BOARD OF ,SUPERVISORS of the
County of Butte, ;State of California9 on this 22nd day of Junes
1965, by the following vote:
AYES, SUPERVISORS GILES~ HOIrJSDEN, MAXON, McKILLOP and
NOES: NONE CHAIRMAN PRYDE
ABSENT: NONE ~
