RESOLUTION ABANDONING A PORTION OF A HIGHWAY ~
This matter came on regularly Far hearing before the
Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California,
on June 18
1985, in the Board Chambers, Butte County
Administration Building, Oroville, California, and it appearing to
said Board that a Notice of Intention and Resolution to Abandon
A Portion of a Highway and Notice of Time and Place of Hearing of
said Abandonment was duly and regularly given as required by law,
and testimony and evidence, both oral and documentary, having been
produced at said hearing, from which said Board now finds that the
hereinafter described alley is unnecessary for present or prospective
public use.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED as follows:
1. That the highway situated in the County of Butte, State
of California, as hereinafter more particularly described is hereby
abandoned.
2. That the description of said highway abandoned is
situated in the County of Butte, State of California, and more
particularly described as follows:
SEE EXHIBIT "A" ATTACHED
3. That the Clerk of this Board shall cause a certified
copy of this Resolution, with the seal of the Board of Supervisors
of the County of Butte, State of California, to be recorded in the
office of the Recorder of the County of Butte, State of California.

Being a portion of the northwest one-quarter of Section 31, T23N, R4E, and a portion
of the northeast one-quarter of Section 36, T23N, R3F, M.D.B. & M., mote particularly
described as follows:
Commencing at the northwest corner of Section 31, Township 23 North, Range 4 East,
M.D.B. & M; thence N 89°09'23" E, 41.91 feet along the north line of said Section 31
to its intersection with the centerline of the Skyway, designated as Engineers Sta-
tion "L5" 96+45.55; thence S 18°12'15" E, 107.26 feet along said centerline to the
beginning of a 500 foot radius curve, concave to the northwest, having a central angle
of 44°07'24"; thence along the arc of said curve a distance of 385,05 feet to a point
nn said curve, also being Engineers Station "L5" 91+53.24; thence N 64°04'52" W, 30.00
feet on a radial line from said 500 foot radius curve to the easterly line of that
parcel of land as described in deed to Alvyn L. Gaither and Joan K. Gaither and recorder
on June 5, 1979, in Book 2408 at Page 48 in the Office of the Recorder, County of Butte,
State of California, and the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING, Said point also being on a 470
foot radius, non-tangent curve; thence along the arc of said 470 foot radius non-tangent
curve, being 30 feet westerly of and parallel with said Skyway "L5" centerline, concave
to file northwest tt~ruugtt a central angle of 22°06`10", a length of 181.31 feet to the
beginning of a 30 foot radius curve, concave to the southwest through a central angle
of 106°29`37", a length of 55.75 feet to a point 30.00 feet south of and perpendicular
from Pine Needle Drive centerline at Engineers Station "Dl"+53.24; thence S 77°19'17" W,
71 .38 feet to the easterly line of that certain parcel of land described in deed to
Loren G. Lewis and Susan Spencer Lewis and recorded on 3anuary 5, 1981, in Book 2583
at Page 458 in the Office of the Recorder, County of Butte, State of California; thence
S 19°Oi}'38" E along the said easterly line of the Lewis parcel a distance of 84.25 feet
to the northeast corner of that certain parcel of land as described in deed to Alvyn L.
Gaither and Juan K. Gaither and recorded on June 5, 1979, in Book 2408 at Page 48 in
the Office of the Recorder, County of Butte, State of California; thence S 16°20'25" E
along the easterly line of said Gaither parcel a distance of 114.80 feet to the TRUE
POINT OF BEGINNING.
Containing a^ area of 0,28 acre more or less.
Excepting therefrom a 10 foot wide drainage easement, being 5 feet on each side of the
followins; described line, beginning at a point 30 feet northwesterly of and radial to
Skyway Engineers Station "LS" 91-F75,65 P.O.C., from said point the Skyway centerline
Station "L5" 91+52,x3 B.C. bears S 24°40'56" W, 23.21 feet; thence N 12°22'09" W,
47.39 feet; thencr N 21°lb'21" W, 56,15 feet Co a point on the said northeasterly exten-
sion of the northerly li3~e of the said Gaither parcel, from which point the northeast

Also excepting and reserving any existing easements and/or rights at any time, or from
time to time, to maintain, operate, replace, ramovc, renew and enlarge the existing

the property from all hazards in, upon, and over file high:::+ay Herewith to be abandoned.
A map showing the said "L5" centerline and the. parcel to be abandoned herein described
is on file in the Office of the Butte County Department of Public Works, 7 County Centel
Drive, Oruville, California.
